In March of 2003, Joe DeLallo, the oldest son of Joseph and Jeannette DeLallo started formulating a plan to try and get a big DeLallo reunion put together. Since Joseph and Jeannette DeLallo celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2003 (February 14), he felt that this would be the perfect year in which to have this reunion.
The logistics of this project was daunting, however, as the family lives in many different places, all quite far from each other. The main reason that this was such a difficult task to accomplish, was the fact that he didn't just want the siblings of his parents to come together, but he wanted all of the families to come, this included all of the grand children of Joe and Jeannette.
Now with brothers and sisters living in 3 different states (California, Kansas, Idaho), he knew it would be difficult to get everyone together at the same time. Since Joe and Jeannette had moved from South Lake Tahoe, California to Post Falls, Idaho in December of 2001, he figured this would be the ideal location for such a reunion to take place.
The first thing that Joe did was to begin telephoning his brothers and sisters to see if this would even be possible. Alas, he got such positive feedback, that he went forward with his plan. The first thing to do was to try and find a date that would be beneficial to everyone involved.
